So the Minister for Local Government made a public statement which stated something like the Tobacco Act (2008) [which controls smoking] supercedes the by law passed by some City Councils in the country [which had basically made smoking illegal, akin to shooting up on the streets].

Why does this make me happy you might ask? Well, during the past year I have been arrested by kanjo (city council) cops no less than 3 times for “smoking in public” (never charged though). Public in those cases was in an alley in the city centre, in a car with the windows rolled down and standing right outside a club. Now it turns out that all those arrests were, as I thought, a steaming pile of horse shit.

I feel like going and standing in the middle of Kenyatta Ave and sparking up a fat ass cigar while flipping the kanjo cops the bird. But I’d soon be right in that pile of shit.

Some Advice

Before I start I’d just like to state that I’ve fallen in love with most beautiful Kenyan woman ever. I spotted her from across a road but what makes it more surprising is that it was at the Globe Cinema roundabout. Diamond in the rough, eh? Lol. I’ll never see her again but I will be able to dream for the rest of my life of what could have been, with me and that unnamed beauty.

Moving on, I have to take a girl (not the one above) on a date. I’m thinking of taking her to Blanco’s (www.blancos.co.ke). Take a look at the site if you’re familiar with the Kenyan eating out scene and prices etc. Is it too much for a first date?

This is slightly out of my price range. But for a first date and with someone who is proving to be extremely interesting and potential girlfriend material, is it a bad thing to extend myself a bit? Or do you think that she’ll expect that sort of thing (even if I tell her it’s rare) which will start the relationship off on a bad footing? Or is the restaurant totally overpriced (I mean, main courses for 1,000 off shillings)? Do I even understand what I’m trying to say?

This is the problem when you give yourself a time limit to write a post.

Anthony.
